02/23/26 – Back Door Passcode

Posted by Christopher Baldwin

Lasper, Knox, Rodrigo, Picknar, and Thoos sat in the wingship, planning. Laster said, "Well, none of my contacts could find anyone who's hacked into the Clentity police files." Picknar said, "Unhacked? They must use Veefas." Lasper said, "Yeah. That's what i'm thinking. But someone was able to get me a passcode for the back door to their memory storage facility." Thoos got excited at this and said, "And so we bust in! I love this plan!" Konx asked, "These Veefa things, are we able to get information from them on-site?" Lasper said, "I'm sure we'll figure out a way." Knox asked, "Has anyone ever managed it before?" Lasper said, "There are rumors that maybe it's been done. Now, can anyone think of anything that could go wrong with our plan?" Rodriog said, "I'm too busy trying to think of anything that could go right with our plan."

This image is just the inks of the characters, with no words. The same comic as above.

It’s not an adventure if there’s no plan!

I added the character inks because on some days, after drawing them in, I think, “Hey, that’s pretty good,” and, “I like how cinematic I make it.” It feels nice to make something pretty.

02/20/26 – Not At Liberty

Posted by Christopher Baldwin

|

In the militant looking lobby of the police station, the officer at the front mecha-desk said, "Yes, we do have a police report on your friends Val and Audri." Lasper said, "Good, a lead. What happened?" The officer said, "I'm afraid we're not allowed to share that information." Lasper asked, "Were they arrested? Brought in? What exactly does a 'report' signify here?" The officer said, "I'm not at liberty to say." Trying to piece it together, Lasper said out loud, "So you're not holding them? Surely there would be transparency if we wanted to bail them out or something." The officer said, "I'm not at liberty to say that either." Full comprehension setting in, Lasper said, "Which means you also can't tell me if you already let them go." The officer said, "In the theoretical case that we did hold them, I'm theoretically not at liberty to say that either." Miffed, Lasper said, "Fine. Well, you've been very 'helpful.' Do you mind if I use your bathroom before we go?" The officer said, "See? There's a question I'm allowed to answer. Yes, you're welcome to use it." Looking at him, Lasper said, "Thank you. And where is it?" The officer said, "I'm not at liberty to say."

Hello, sir, I’m happy to help you in any way I can. Which isn’t many ways.

02/18/26 – Ship Tow Yard

Posted by Christopher Baldwin

|

Lasper, Picknar, Thoos, Rodrigo, and Knox flew in the Lasper's wingship towards the planet. Lasper said, "We're descending down to Clentity. Let me do some preliminary scouting, and then we can come up with a plan from there." Planetside, Lasper walked to the ship tow yard where the proprietor informed him, "Yup, we have your pod. Just give me some basic information and pay the fee, then it's all yours." Lasper leaned forward and said, "Was there anyone inside it?" The proprietor said, "I sure do hope not. we don't handle 'em too gently." Hand to chin in thought, Lasper said, "But why would my friends just leave the escape pod?" The proprietor said, "Well, it's not like they could use it as transportation around the city." Realizing that was both true and obvious, Lasper said, "That's true. Hrm. So, how do I start finding them. They could be anywhere on the planet by now?" The proprietor said, "You could start with the police." Pointing at him, Lasper said, "I generally find local police to be exceedingly unhelpful." The proprietor shrugged and said, "Oh, they are. But it's a conversation, there was a gap, and I was supposed to say something. So, there you go."

Sometimes people say the dangest things to fill up space (and yup, I’ve been guilty my share of times as well)

New Act Break Illustrations!

Posted by Senna Diaz

In the grand Dresden Codak tradition, I’ve finally gotten around to adding act breaks with title illustrations for the first time since… 2017? Good lord. Act IV starts here and Act V (the current one) starts here! ALSO: we’re going to be doing some fancy upgrading to the archives in the near future, but until then I’ve added direct links to all the act breaks in the archives page!
